Just don't make unnecessary journeys, keep others at a distance where you can. Keep hands regularly washed if you do get close to others or touch things others have touched. By summer it should all be over bar the shouting. Should next year produce another wave hopefully there'll be a vaccine by then.

It's a pity we can't follow, I believe it's Denmark, where only the elderly are going to the supermarket for an hour first thing in the morning. They are not allowed to overstock but can get their weekly shopping in one go. It would make staying at home for a long time bearable knowing you can shop each week.
MartinMillar, I agree, I see nothing wrong in occasionally getting into the car and spending a day in total isolation at the coast. A professor I was listening to yesterday emphasised it isn't a windblown virus and can only be passed on by physical contact and sneezing. If we avoid people we should be allowed of the leash.:o)

To those taking objection to what I've said...
That's fine if you're an OAP who can't think for themselves and does whatever you're told and whenever.
Most older lot I know are self thinking and can look after themselves and be self sufficient enough to know what to do and when.
It's a good thing for someone to say they'll do what they want. It means you're not a sheep. I guess if you take objection to that though you jsut want to take objection for the sake of it!
Fine by me.
Do what you're told then. You oldies.
