With the lockdowns, and lack of sunlight, therefore a lack of vitamin D, could there be a connection to poor s!eep?
This YouTube video seems to say so.
If true, vitamin D supplements are readily available.

In the summer I am out, in shorts when possible, and get as much sunshine as I can. When this damned virus was only distant news I read that Vit D was being touted in China as a useful supplement to aid immune systems and have been taking a supplement every day even in the summer. I know that I mentioned it on a thread on here way back,(possibly February) and even...
Haha now bear with me, I don't want to come across as a raving hypochondriac or semi precious stoned, but since the Winter set in I have also been taking a Vit C and Zinc supplement. If nothing else it assures me that I am doing as much as I can to take care of myself. I have always been conscious of my diet(do like more of a tipple than is wise though) and try to keep my weight down, before the weight keeps me down. This guy eats seeds, and nuts. (´◡`)
I get that if you need injections then they need to be prescribed but I wonder why under normal circumstances, people have to get a "prescribed" version unless they can't afford to buy it.
I do get (and support) the program to offer free vitamin D to people considered at risk, but if I thought I fell within the group and could afford it, I'd be buying my own now rather than waiting.
Woofgang, "prescription" dose is whatever the Doctor prescribes for a recognised condition. It will be quite high to start with for instance if you test for Vitamin D deficiency.
The "high dose" link that I provided has a classification of 400iu, and the safest level for human consumption is 4,000 iu. 500iu is usually prescribed daily for patients suffering with seriously low Vit D levels.
Always know that iu(International Unit) is a measure of the active form of Vit D per ml.
I just wondered why people get it prescribed instead of just buying it. Mamya used the description "prescription strength" and emmie talked about asking her GP for it A years supply of 4000 iu is 11.97 on Amazon or less if you subscribe to it.
i didn't ask my GP for it, i said i would consult with them on any addition or change of meds, as they are the ones who monitor me so to speak, and have my long history.
