I've lived here for 30 years and never 'trimmed up' yet, so I can't see me changing now!

The only concession I make to 'Christmas decorations' is displaying the Christmas cards I get sent (all 10 of them last year) and possibly putting a mini fibre optic Christmas tree (just a few inches tall) on the shelf above my desk.

Apart from my natural Scrooge-like nature, Christmas trees and cats just don't mix!

Of course not.

Great video Chris.
No. We may put a few lights up, but there will be no tree. I normally do holly, ivy and greenery over the hearth and wreaths and seats but we aren't bothering. But we will only just have moved in by Christmas so all that frippary is a bridge too far for me. I'll be lucky if I can find the kettle never mind faff about with decorations.
Swags. Not seats. The latter would be painful!!

I've noticed where I live that hardly anybody has put up the usual amount of window decorations and because none of my grandchildren will be visiting this year, I've decided not to bother.
Hi, Barsel. We've had all our moving stars shining on the front of the house for some time. Initially to support vintners and left up for Christmas.
We will be adding lots more including turning part of the dining room into a Santa's Grotto....don't ask...blame Dave..... :-)
Aye, it's all part of the Christmas spirit.
Never miss, love the lights and sparkle - would have been done this week but I pulled a tummy muscle.
Was gonna until I saw Chris's vid. Get well soon Mamya.

You're not letting Dave play the part of Santa again, surely, Gness?

Has he grew a beard, gness ?
Question Author
Dave is hoping that if he dresses up as Santa, then Gness will sit on his knee and tell him what she would really like for Christmas.:-)
Not after last year,Chris! Took an age to get that pizza out of the beard.
He has the beard and the hair now, Tony. Lockdown and living with me hasn’t helped.
Ah but we have the real Santa visiting us next week, Barsel......might still sit on Dave’s knee though...... x

LOL, he'll be searching for his old Afghan coat next, gness.
Arrgghhhh no! The smell!
LOL, even those 'Rocker' chicks couldn't stand that !
I put a tree up, well not since the kids were little.

Usually one of the kids will buy me something small. This year I have a small cactus with a santa hat. Last year it was a tiny xmas tree with flashing lights.
Yes, always. We put the tree and outside lights up on 1st December & take them down on 6th January.
No tree, a huge vase of bare twigs, fake berries and silk poinsettias and white lights, candles with poinsettia candle rings, haven't had a tree since Dave, doesn't seem right just for me as I won't see anyone over the holiday period.
