Had my NHS number come for my jab, and to book. Well I can't make my mind up. Why, because its only the UK who have decided to stretch the second dose past three weeks, and Pfizer have not commented on that decision ???

Did you think that when we were the first to approve it?
Ono other countries had so by your logic you would of been nervous
Think it through carefully and make the best decision for you based on what you know.

Good luck.
But you might want to take into account the views of Van Tam, Whitty and Valance but sometimes gut feeling can count for something whatever the experts say
Would you rather wait another 9 weeks for your jab and then have them 3 weeks apart?

17.21 No disrespect to them but, I'm be more interested in what Pfizer say.
thinking about it
no over thinking about it

there is this jab proven to decrease the catching and dying from Covid
and you're not going to have it

this has to be AB
you might have a long wait if you wait until the 12 weeks is reduced to 3- maybe never- or until Pfizzer approve a longer gap but if your prepared to take the risk of being unvaccinated for however long it takes thats your choice and thats fair enough as its not compulsory
a god there is all this
"well the choice is . ... jabba jabba"

no- there is no choice - one jab or nothing
My thinking is the first jab is essential for me, the second one is a welcome bonus

PP who said I'm not going to have it? me or you.
Yes, Teacakes still mulling it over. Let us know what you decide teacake
because you said you cdnt make up your er mind
but hey this is AB
so if you say - ah but I had made up my mind
I wd reply - yes sirree!
Teacake, I do partially share your concern.
One momenti time the boys insist that you MUST have the second jab 21 days after the first, then comes Tony Blair who says.".eh! why not.........."
Then it seems waiting 3 months is nobig deal...confused? unsettled?......something I.
Just go with the scientists, ihave and have had my first jab of Astrazeneca.

PP, are you drunk?

Sqad. I think with the new one jab vacs that will becoming into play sooner or later have made it a more difficult decision. If I was to get the second dose of the present vac in three weeks I wouldn't be thinking about it at all.
"sooner or later" its the later thing that would make me want to get mine asap.
but of couse if you say no thanks I will wait for strawberry flavour then that puts me one space up the queue so thank you
Pretty good protection with one jab, so why worry?
At the moment you are more likely to receive the Oxford jab. Does that affect yiur decision?
Question Author
The only thing that will affect my decision or convince me to have the Pfizer jab is if Pfizer themselves confirm that the 12 week gap, is not a problem, so far they have not done that.

The government and our own scientists that made this decision do not have any data that backs up their decision to extend the second dose without it creating any problems. Also the government and scientists will more than likely be taking the newer vaccine in the spring ( the one jab) as there not in line to have theirs for some time so really any concerns they might have won't affect them.
