Teen Smow was diagnosed last Sunday and is obviously self isolating. He has a bad cough but doesn’t feel too bad in himself. But he’s been told to just go back to work after 10 days, no second test or anything. Surely he’ll still be infectious?? Or is this standard practice?

Oh really?? So he won’t be infectious at all after 10 days?
If his employers are happy with the standard 10 days then that's fine.
Standard.
Is this 10 days after a positive Covid test, or 10 days after symptoms have gone?
Is it still 7 day isolation after a positive result and 10 days for anyone else in the same household?
10 days after a positive Covid OR 10 days after onset of symptoms.

He was told 10 days after positive test
Its standard, my son had to do the same.

What do you mean ‘what he has done in the past’...??
Some unnecessary comments there Peter, Smow, either ignore them or report them.

Hope he's back to full health soon.

I think he’s thinking of my other son. Teen Smow has been the model son.
Thanks Mamya x
Smow, my daughter went back to work (in a care home) after 10 days. They told her a negative test wasn't necessary first, as it was likely to still give a false positive.
Question Author
Interesting pixie. Is she feeling 100% now?? X
Yes thanks, smow.... she had very few symptoms and seemed well all the way through really.
Question Author
Smow isn’t too bad but has bad cough and lost sense of smell and taste
