Has anyone on here managed to see their G.P face to face since last March?

no but i havent needed to. ive seen the nurse at the surgery though

Yes, twice and once for Kate.
a few phone calls only
No,I've only had cause to go once with swollen glands and after a telephone consultation with a practice nurse, I was told to go to the surgery and see her,
I haven't (not needed to)...OH has. Triaged first on phone by nurse, GP phoned back and made the appointment himself. All very smooth.
(Our health centre has also been very active i providing jabs, a good proportion by the GPs).
Nope but did have a telephone consultation. Been to the surgery twice to see practice nurse for my MOT and Covid Jag.
No. I tried but only got practice nurse on the telephone.
Very poor response.
No!!!
Yes
No, but haven’t needed to. Had a telephone consultation, but it would have been that anyway. Seen the nurse for a blood test and to have my vaccination in the surgery.

Neither have we. Both in our 80s, we have not even met our G.P. He was new to the practice last year & we only know his name. My wife suffered a D.V.T last year and has numerous questions that she wants to ask about the condition but it is impossible to see anyone. We have both been seeing our dentist & hygienist throughout, also our optician, & I have been regularly to both my chiropodist & physio. But the doctors daren’t see us.
I had an initial telephone consultation with a (locum) GP, who then made an appointment for me to see her in person just a couple of hours later. She was then happy to give me nearly half an hour of her time, while she phoned various people at the hospital to ensure that everyone was 'singing from the same hymnbook'.

Getting a 'same day' appointment at out local surgery, both pre-Covid and during current times, has never been a problem.
mwg, im really interested to know what they said when she rang - did they just turn her down flat? Also interested to know what a GP could say in person that they couldnt say on the phone? If it's just questions about DVT, cant she ask for a telephone consult?

Well done you. What area are you in?
No, but I have seen two of the practice nurses and one OT

My wife rang 111 when she suspected a D.V.T after a long car journey. They dealt with everything including making a hospital appointment for a scan to confirm her self-diagnosis. She was right.
Nope. Will only do telephone consultations. Not much help when you physically want to show something!
what i mean is you say that the GP is impossible to see - what did they say when she rang to see someone to ask her questions
Yes
Yes, after two telephone consultations the doctor asked me to go in and booked me in himself. Excellent service, he then rang me on two occasions to check all was OK
