I was stung on my thumb yesterday, I washed it straight away and took an antihistamine and then an ice cube on it.
The thumb swelled up so badly I couldn’t activate my phone!
Today my thumb is red hot and still swollen badly.
Anything else I can do as it’s still really painful too?
Thanks

No problem :)
If you can't get a bluebag, a paste of bicarbonate of soda mixed with water helps, leave it on for at least 10 minutes.
How is the finger today, redhelen?

Still swollen, red and sore!
I hope you got the little buzzer that stung you.

No! the little buzzard was still alive in the compost pot when the husband went out to pick up the stuff I threw everywhere when I was stung.
Make sure there is'nt a bit of the sting left inside. My bee sting was not getting any better so I looked at it through an electronic microscope I have . There was a tiny bit of the sting left in ,which I manged to scrape out, then it started to heal up. This was a bee sting though, I'm not sure if wasps leave the sting in the wound.
No they don't leave the sting in:-
//Unlike bees, wasps will not leave their stinger inside your skin, so you shouldn't seek to remove it.//
