Hi there after well over 2 years my mother has avoided Covid until now. She is 83 and she has had all her injections. 5 in total. Her chest is quite weak over the years she has pneumonia twice but made full recovery both times. Every time she has a cold it goes straight to her chest. She also has asthma. Every time she gets a chest infection she goes on prednisone and it sends her as high as a kite! I'm hoping she will be ok. My dad is 85 he will be at risk as well presumably? I am also a wee bit worried about myself. The last 2 days I have been exhausted nauseous and totally off my food. I felt like this last time I had Covid in May 2 days before cough and sore throat started and then I tested positive. Wasn't too bad I've had 4 injections. I've seen mum 3 times this week. Is it possible I could get infected? Could things get really bad for her I mean are people still being hospitalized with Covid who are fully vaccinated

what you need is a really long series ( at least 500 million does given so far) - and a follow up - - like this

Myocarditis after vaccination in Israeli adolescents

I honestly can be arrissed to find out anymore. - a bit like searching out a paper that says - crossing a road can kill you but by and large it is quite safe....
Let’s hope gordie’s parents are better . He is and should be concerned .
We are both fully vac'd, but we had covid at the beginning of Sept and it wiped us out for about a week . I understand (and I might be wrong), that the vac does not stop you getting it, but it may mean the symptoms are not so bad. I dread to think how ill we might have been without the jabs.

I hope your parents and you do not suffer and get through it asap.
I’d like to add to others who tell you not to worry.
Early on in the pandemic it looked very frightening, but as we’ve all seen, vacs have meant people aren’t suffering too much if they do get Covid.

I think Canary was talking about novaxxers and I agree with him.

Unfortunately we'd never know because he didn't have the courtesy to tell us what on Earth he was talking about.
As others have said the vaccines should help reduce the effects. The infection rate has dropped now being down to 0.7 - 0.9 as of yesterday which is going in the right direction.
I can't see anywhere in your links

'' the chance of a serious effect is 1 in 30 000,''

PP. Where did you get that from?
I think Canary was talking about novaxxers and I agree with him.

I take you are another one quite happy that children and young adults who had nothing to fear from COVID now have serious health issue due to being blackmailed into having the vaccine, cloverjo?
