I am neither thoughtless, nor idiotic. I have simply ran out of sympathy for someone who is starting to wreak havoc on the lives of others.
When he starts becoming a danger to others it's time he was taken out of society. Wouldn't you say the same about any person who poses a danger to others? Terrorists? Grooming Gangs?
And don't for one minute suggest I am comparing the poster to those people - I'm talking only in terms of being a danger to other people with his destructive behaviour.
Nailedit, you know that you are your own worse enemy. You have to learn to give yourself credit for trying to beat your addiction.
You know that you can do it, you have already been through it and come out the other side a happier person.
Work out what triggered you to start drinking again and make a plan of what to do if these conditions occur again.

He KNOWS that his behaviour adversely impacts others and he wants to change. He needs help to change. That help is something that he has sought himself and will be happening shortly. He cannot make it happen any quicker and I have no doubt he already feels pretty worthless.
I have immense sympathy for those who are affected by his behaviour and the only way he can ensure that he does not impact others in the future is by change.
He is obviously at rock bottom and without condoning his criminal behaviour, nor being sympathetic to him, the human in me will always go for kindness first.
