Heart Murmur
My heart has always raced here and there, but I just ignore it becuase Im only 24 and am perfectly healthy and thin. I don't suffer from any anxiety either, but lately my heart beat speeds up, and sometimes it wakes me up in the middle of the night, or early in the morning. The other evening I was watching tv, and I could feel my heart through my chest, I timed it at 114 beats a minute. I timed it twice to make sure. It finally got back down to 82 beats a minute after about 45min. Im going to the doctors, but I was wondering if this happens to a lot of people? Is it a heart murmer? --I am pretty healthy (I do drink more than I should though), but I am very fit.

Lots of reasons for arrythmia, ranging from anxiety/ adrenaline to caffeine intake (cola, coffee ) etc. Even postural changes can bring on an event.
I would keep a diary and record when and for how long these events occur if I were you, and cut down on alcohol and caffeine heavy drinks... also cut down on smoking if you are one :)
In my mums case, it was a combination of excessive orange juice (bizarrely) and smoking that seemed to be the cause, and once she cut down on both she was fine.
