Do you have any regrets or is there anything you would love to relive or go back and change? Or do you think that every choice you have made was the best one available to you at the time? Given the chance, what would you do differently?

I do have certain regrets - I think that many people do, but it's only as you grow older and develop more wisdom and the benefit of hindsight that you feel you could have handled situations differently. Unfortunately life is not a rehearsal and when a particular circumstance arises you have to deal with it as best you can with the wisdom available to you at that moment. I think that all we can do is learn from that experience and not make the same mistake twice.

I would not want to change a single thing in my life.

That does not mean, there's nothing I feel sorry about, or would hate to relive, but every little change might change your whole life thereafter, and I love my life and would not want it to be different.

Nope regret should not be a word. Things happen in everyones life for a reason even the bad things have a silver lining etc. You cant go back and change a thing so why dwell on any past. :-)
If we think about it to much we would all be depressed my philosophy is " there is no future in the past" so, no regrets. Ray
I think it would be foolish to think that every decision we make was the best one possible but equally I don't think you should regret things.

My life has led me to a great job which pays well but if I had made different decisions long ago I could have started my career earlier and been in a much better place than now. However the wrong decision led me down a path which made me realise those mistakes and ultimately gave me the drive to change my situation.
I always think that there are things I would have liked to do differently. Decisions I have made that were terrible, embaressing and cringworthy. Financially I could be in a position where I would never have any worries. Change anything, NOT ON YOUR NELLY.
there are so many things i would change dont know where to begin, but i would def have stayedon at school and got some quilifications behind me, (especially in spelling) lol and i would have chosen boyfriends more carefully.
I always ran scared of my teachers at secondary school. Of course now I realise there was nothing to be scared of, that it's OK do things your own way and there was nothing they could have done to me if I'd told them exactly what I thought of them (other than kick me out, which mightn't have been such a bad thing). So my biggest regret is that I've never had a chance to actually tell them.

I always thought that when I'm a famous (note when, not if) writer, I would accept their invite to honour the school with a visit and tell them then, but the school closed years ago.

Ah well, I'll just have to wait 'til I go on Parkinson.

I have a number of regrets and am still working through some very big issues in my life. I envy people who can accept their lives as they are and look back on difficult occurences as mere growing curves.

Sadly, we're not all like that and for many of us, revisiting past mistakes is a part of life. I do spend a little too much time dwelling on my divorce. I am still not sure I made the correct decision and often wonder whether I was foolish for not seeking an alternative solution to a tricky situation.

This is compounded by the fact my ex husband is still my most trusted friend and the shoulder on which I cry. He also wants me back, but I cannot risk putting my children through another traumatic situation. Any decision I make on this issue has to be a final one and I'm not ready to do that as yet.

Having re-read this, I wonder whether my comments classify as a regret, or merely an ongoing problem in need of a satisfactory resolution. Either way, I feel slightly better for sharing, so thanks for asking the question.

if we didn't have any regrets then it would mean we had learnt nothing from our past mistakes and would continue making them for the rest of our lives, so yes many regrets but hopefully Im making them at a slightly slower rate now!!

i have a few regrets...working thru some of them still

i would do a lot differently!!

I have a strange life.

The number of times Ive said I wish I cud have a time machine and go back and take a different route..have a cr4p year or two and end up in better possition than previously.

Not as yet worked this time.....time will tell.

Some very successfull people have been knocked down a few times and made better comebacks.

It is depressing thinking about the "what might have beens"....better to think of the "what will be's".
