Loose Weight?
6 Answers
I have been exercising and eating healthy-ish for about 6 weeks now and am still not loosing any weight. Does it take a certain amount of time before the weight starts to come off? I do about an hours exercise - twice a week (I know this isn't a lot!!). HELP!!

It is important that you burn the energy that you are consuming in order to stay trim, but this wont necessarily result in weight loss. If you are exercising as you say then it is more probable that the excess fat you are burning is being replaced by muscle mass which can weigh just as much. The important thing is that you feel fit, healthy and happy about yourself.
If your regime is not working as you had hoped, why dont you speak to your gym instructor (if you have one) about changing your routine to suit your need.

i go with champers, its probably time to up the exercise regime a bit. not too much at first, just keep a steady increase going over time.
do you have a dog? in this weather mine are getting walked for 2 to 3 hours a day. its good for you and them, u can feel the sweat coming out and its not too strenuous.
weight loss must be a gradual procedure, rushing it can cause harm.

it may depend on what exercise you're doing. Cardio (walking, running, cycling. etc) is very good at burning the fat, whilest resistance trainings(weights) is good at toming the muscle. Ideally you need a combination of both, leaning heavily on the cardio side.
If you're a member of a gym, or do an exercise class, ask the instructor...they should be able to give you advice on what you could do to improve your work out.
