Yes, it does work, but it takes a very long time in my experience.
Coco butter. works wonders.
I have a lot of very old scars on my body mainly cuts and burns and yes it really does work very well although as fee says it takes a long time to see a significant difference.
yep, it's worked for me, I used bio oil on a facial scar from an accident - it's on the pricey side, but I think it's worth it. And I use cocoa butter for stretch marks on my thighs, which, I reckon works as if I neglect to use the cocoa butter for a couple of weeks my stretch marks become more indented, and a bit more noticeable.
oh yea, and shea butter - I work with hot metal quite a lot, and shea butter rubbed into burns or cuts that have dried is great - I reckon it's helped make a couple of scars on my forearms melt away (they only show up faintly when I get a tan). It's quite waxy, so good for dry patches/dermatitis also - just warm it up in your hand before applying. I recommend getting a pure shea butter - not the highly perfumed/interfered-with stuff from the Body Shop, etc. L'Occitane do a great pure shea butter you can get in a small tin to keep in your handbag, or a big tin for slathering on to your feet, etc!
i used bio oil everyday whilst pregnant to prevent getting anymore stretchmarks. it worked and leaves skin really really soft too.also found it's lot quicker to use then creams because it's easier to rub in.not sure how it works on scars tho.
