How do people handle this? It isn't just children that can be bullied, I have felt bullied today on the thread in the suggestions category, having been bullied when i was 10 I experienced the fear and trauma first hand. How have you managed to grow inside to shrug off the attempts to belittle you and make you look stupid? I had a 17 year marriage in which i was constantly bullied but for 11 years i have struggled to find myself and I am proud that I have enough self esteem to say i will never back down to bullies again, whether they be real or pixelated.

I think just some people are stronger to not let it get to them. espacially on something like this. There are just usernames and I give as good as I get. You'll tend to find most bullies have issues themselves and pick on people so they feel better.
gotta say dotty, as much as I love ya, and you know i do right? I personally don't feel you were bullied on that thread. you give as good as you got girly- and good for you!

I also don't see how anyone can feel bullied via the net, it surely can't have the same impact as face to face can it?

How about you take a mini break for a little while and make us both a brew? What? You don't want one? well I do, so hop to it! Heh...hop to it...geddit?
i have to agree with B00 dot, i was keeping up with it and i saw you giving as good as you got, which is the way it should be, and i didnt see you directly names either.
it is only the web, so why get all het up over it.
I find this hard to believe, dot.

You come across as very confident, bubbly and at times 'in your face'.

It's obvious from this post that you don't intend to!

So just don't get fretting about anything posted here - it's only words and we don't know each other.
Sorry dot, i dont think that the comments made by pie and mash initially were aimed at you. Of course if you see a similarity with yourself and what P+M said then you may of course jump to defend yourself and rightly so. But offering to have a cyber row does not back up your argument that you are being bullied Im afraid.
Perhaps you are just being a bit oversensitive because of previous experiences.
Hiya Dotty, I dont' really want to go into my experiences of bullying on here but I do know what you mean and I think no matter how old you are you'll always come across someone who feels the need to dominate or bully others.

It's a sad fact of life, you can either let it happen and let them walk all over you or you can stand up to them. For many years I've been the door mat - until about 5 years ago - NO MORE!!
I think you reach the point where enough is enough and you make the choice to stand your ground.
Hi Dot, I love most of your postings because you are so funny! You obviously are feeling a bit vulnerable as a result of that thread, I have not seen it, so do not know what went on, but it seems that you have many friends on this site, so take heart from that!
All the best, Sue

I read alot of stuff and don't comment, i let it go, in the context of that thread you are all correct possibly, but having read many comments aimed at myself, (without any doubt or misunderstanding) I considered it a personal underhand sly comment.
dot - I have now read the thread you refer to - and cannot see why you thought the initial comments of pie and mash were aimed at you!

If anything it was you on the attack there.

just read it again to make sure i've got my facts right. i see dot that you jumped all over kick for a comment that you merely "considered" to be a crack at your good self.
why?

I understood well enough steve
Hi Dot.I have just read the whole of that thread, and unless some answers have been deleted,I just can't see where pie and mash was referring to you or where you may have thought they were.Unless I'm missing something.

p.s.hope you are feeling a bit better now.
or misunderstood as the case may be dot.

no steve, not at all, this has dragged on for weeks with pie and mash, i just wish i knew what their previous ID was, they are hiding behind this one.
Didnt know there was any history Dot as I have been away for a few weeks,
yeah, but why drag kick into it? isnt she allowed to respond to post from another user?
I registered under the username of p+m 5/8/06 and did not show myself (lol) until I was grey. Where oh where are there weeks of intimidation? Again, why think that thread was about you, and you only?
ive just read the thread and i must be missing something it all seemed a bit disjointed to me .
sorry, but i think you have to maybe look at your own behaviour before critsizing others for theirs? I got rid of a 15 month username because i felt bullied by you over a period of 2 days (in the same thread). i felt i would like a fresh start, because i didnt want everythin i said/answered being held up to scriutiny just because it was me that was saying it.
i'm not saying it's right to bully under any circumstances, , just that people can feel bullied. intimidated from what people say, but it dosent mean they are being bullied. All i'm trying to say is that you may feel bullied, but you are not neccasarrily being bullied.
i felt bullied on this site some time ago and posted a question about , now i just ignore the bad people,
