Weird symptoms
10 Answers
I am asking you clever people because my Doctor is ignorant and knows nothing. At night when I lie down, and especially after I COUGH, I get these weird trembly quaking feelings. Like my whole body is twitching inside, but not so that you can physically see. Then it dies down.
I have also noticed my left hand feels slightly numb and shaky, like I don't have a smuch control over it as my right hand. I've had these symptoms for a few weeks and they are consistent.
Anyone any ideas?

I have similar symptoms (trembling left arm, sometimes numb, sometimes with pain), and these are mainly at night and are caused by stress. 'But i'm not stressed' you may answer, however the physical symptoms of stress can be present even though you feel mentally happy and ok. Shift work can cause it, as well as life-changing events like moving house or a divorce or a death. I have managed to overcome mine to a great degree by eating better and going to the gym. Exercise is a great stress-buster. Anyway, go and get it checked out first, and good luck!
Its worth taking your pulse when that happens at night - it could be palpitations ( an awareness of your own heart beat) which are usually harmless but can make you feel like you are quaking. When your hand is numb, try breathing more slowly - a panic attack can make your hand go numb. Otherwise, I agree with the others - its likely stress but get it checked with another doctor.
