whiskey, i know you are a burd...in scotland its a saying for male and female meaning you got an admirer!! hehe you lucky thing you...did i miss something? so who do you think me is then? i thought i was being very sly there! lol
temptress, i dont want to cause and argument but I am fromScotland too and i have only ever heard that used as an expression towards females....if a male was called that, he would lamp you one!!! lol
i dont know if its just scottish...i can only go by what is said where i live...i think maybe its more a kinda trendy expression so as not to be sexist or something silly like that....we say it anyway....if a woman gets a 'lumber' (old scottish saying for getting a guy) we now say (trendy way)..you got a burd. strange but true....out of interest, what do you all say when you get a snog....we say we get 'a winch' but thats probs old fashioned now...my daughter cringes when i say that!!! btw...i dont mind you saying whiskey...:)
