My mouth is moulting

Since last Friday I have had pinkie nail size bits of skin just projecting themselves into my mouth.I was at the dentist on Thursday and she didnt pick anything up.I didnt say anything although I might on Friday when I go back.
Anyway the crux is -has anyone else experienced this -its really weird cos they just appear.
Do you think its coming from my throat -although I havent had a problem with my throat?
