fancy dress

i have no budget for this so am really in need of some creative ideas. Got a halloween fancy dress party, there's no theme so it doesn't have to be scary. i want to look half decent, therefore I'm not gonna go with the ghost (as in a sheet with 2 holes in it) suggestion. can anyone help....please

You could go as Pocahauntas, I created this quite cheaply. I went to a local material shop and bought some brown material, which I made into some sort of short dress, and plaited the left over as a belt (which held the dress together), I also used the material to cover some shoes in a mochasin like thing, and bought a indian wig for about �10 in a joke/costume shop. I think it all came to about �15 and was great fun to make.

You could do a number of things with cardboard boxes, too, with a bit of paint. like a dice, or a robot etc etc.

Get up tesco's... I bought a witches hat for �1.97 as I have a fancy dress party tomorrow night. I will just wear black (skirt and top) and I am nipping out on lunch to get some of those stripey funky tights and a broom! Haha.

Tesco's also have wigs for about �2. They do quite alot of cheap stuff for Halloween.. I am sure you could find something!

I got a pair of horns, tail and fork from claires accessories yesterday- 3 in the pack for 6 quid and they look fab. Wear them with anything black and your a horny devil. Voila !

Guys, you have all been wicked....thank you. TopCat you are a ledge. For some reason i already own a v mini brown felt skirt, which i forgot about. I've just bought a black wig and a cream boob tube so i'm gonna go as Pocahauntas (a v ****** one!!). cheers again
