Men and prostitutes

More and more men seem to be ok with going to prostitutes both here and abroad (e.g stag weekends in E.Europe etc). Do men om here do this? Or ladies, do your partners / sons / husbands think this is ok?

When I was in Hong Kong, early 70s, prostitution was rife, it was also illegal, However, it was recognosed that the authorities couldn't stop it, so the girls were given a free health check, and if clean, were given a blue card and allowed to continue with their trade.
Any soldiers that wanted to go with one, to make sure the girl was clean, could ask to see this card, VD was classed as a self inflicted wound. The system worked.

Shame they don't use a similar system over here, legalise it, then the goverment could get tax off the earnings.

It might surprise you to know lonnie but most career prostitutes DO already pay tax on their earnings. The Govt aren't shy of asking for that.

That's the problem isn't it nox? they pull the girls in for soliciting and fine them, but don't mind taking their tax contributions!

I say legalise it all fully..and get rid of the pimps.

I've worked as a prostitute...and I really don't think anyone who does it is ever really completely happy with having to make the choice to do this.

I accepted that it was the only way to keep a roof over my head at 19, and then ended up back doing it when i was at university to pay my way through my education.

I never worked the streets, but through cards and recommendations. I feel it should be legalised to protect girls and keep them safer either way.

I don't have a lot of respect for men who use prostitutes. Generally they treated me very differently than any of the men I have met in bars or dated. They tended to regard you as meat, there to do their bidding and not worth manners, respect or in a lot of cases, hygiene.

And every single one that I asked told me they would never look at me twice if they met me in normal circumstances and discovered i had been a working girl, no matter the reason behind it. Double standards anyone?

what i find really sad above all else with this news thing is that these girls have been labelled as 'prostitutes' .ok, they were on the game, but first and foremost they were women who were murdered and have left families and friends behind.the only reason it didnt happen to a 'middle class media-friendly ' woman is because although this sicko hates all women, women on the game who walk the streets are easy targets for obvious reasons.they get into cars with strangers, they avoid busy streets.for sickos like this its an obvious choice.there are loads of women selling their bodies, if its thier choice so be it.there are some men out there willing to exploit women.as far as i'm concerned, and if they want meaningless, no-strings sex and treat women like a piece of meat, why let them have it for free?The women on the streets dont really have that choice once they get hooked on drugs

How right you both are, they have all been innocent victims, why do they say 5 prostitutes ? it is as you say 5 women, women with families that loved them, I find it degrading the way it is announced as if it isn't so bad because of the job they did, as you say things will never change.

if you really were an officer in the Intelligence Corps, do you realise you compromised your countries security by going with prostitutes. and i think Wardy kind of proves my point about how men think about women who sell sexual favours...happy to buy it, but repulsed by them at the same time...don't these men realise the only reason we can earn money at this trade is that they're happy to buy it?

if you want to get moral, both participants are as bad as each other, but generally only the woman gets looked down on...

mdoo98 makes a good point... but if paying for sex isn't that different to spending the evening buying drinks and then going home with your new conquest, why not just do that?

if you're going with someone above the going rates of street girls, then its going to be cheaper to get a few drinks in and flatter her? Or is it just too much like hard work when you could just hand over the cash and get your alloted time?

mostly men on one night stands want the same as the men who pay. the only difference tends to be the manners ...and that when men are getting it for free they almost always try to get away without using a condom...
