Unless the person you are after ends up dead, in the end they'll just pity you for devoting so much time to their demise. Not a nice feeling to be pitied and patronisde by the person you are trying to damage.
That being said if someone hurt my kids, there's nowhere they could run, but if it's the usual someone nicked your parner/ was unfaithful/ lied/ cheated etc then just let it go, as you are only hurting yourself.

REvenge may be sweet at the time, but it is very very costly. You can screw yourself up so much planning, plotting and hating. You literally give up your freedom for the sake of this enterprise.
On the other hand, if you let it go and get on with your life, not nothing will happen, but something valuable will be experienced, quite literally, a sense that you, and not events, are in control.
Resist the desire for revenge, and become stronger for it.

Years ago I found my then boyfriend had cheated on me. When I went to collect my few bits and pieces from his flat I unscrewed the end of the curtain poles in his bedroom and filled the poles with fresh prawns. I know it's a petty trick but it had me smiling for days and seemed appropriate as the other woman in his life was called Miss Fish!
years ago an ex wasn't very nice to me so i dumped him.before i gave him back his good shirt he had left at mine, i delicately loosened the threads a little in the armpit of the shirt so that when he was out having a pint, every time he lifted the glass, the hole under the arm would get bigger and bigger.revenge is a dish best served cold as they say :-)
My friend was dumped and her boyfriend had a convertable car, she saved up her poo for 3 days and put it in a bucket. She then went to the pub where he always parked outside with roof down and tipped it in. Not the most pleasant of things to do and she could have thrown anything in but she said because it was HER POO it made all the more worthwhile.
