Thank you to everyone who answered my first post.

I went to the walk in centre this afternoon and they have confirmed the lump and said i've got tethering (?) and have got me an urgent referral for tomorrow morning for further investigations.

They used the words urgent, needs to be seen immediately and neccesity which have got me a bit worried.

Does anyone know what is likely to happen when i see them?

Sorry I can't help but just wanted to say I hope it is all ok for you.x Let us know.
Glad you went to the docs ... they'll act pretty quickly on any breast lumps, or in my case a lump on the testicle.

expect an MRI or CAT scan, or both.

this site explains 'tethering' a bit ...

Hi Jenna, don't get worrying, probably an infection of the mammy glands, "tethering" is a tightening of the skin from the inside, have a look at this link, good luck, Ray xx

Awwww thank you for all your replies :)

Thank you for the links as well Naz & Ray, really useful and I can now see where the tethering is on top of the lump.

The people I saw earlier were absolutely fantastic, a real credit to the NHS, I had two people in doing checks and they were with me for ages and wouldn't let me leave (not that I was trying to) until they'd secured me the appointment for tomorrow morning.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared but it makes a huge different being able to come on here and share it and get the wonderful help and support you all give so thank you :) xxx

PinkFizz I've added you hon :) x
Hi Jenna. Sorry, didn't see this 'till quite late. Haven't been online much lately as I'm fighting a bad bout of acute bronchitis at the moment. But if you need me, you know how to get hold of me. I really hope you get good results tomorrow. Good on you for going to the walk in centre. This was the best thing you could have done. You already have the answers to your questions, so all that is left for me to say is I wish you all the luck in the world. xxx
Good luck Jenna, I hope it all goes ok for you.

I'll be thinking of you hun xxxxxxx
Jenna, sweetheart, you are extremely lucky, we have a walk in centre quite close to us, there must however be vast differences in their staffing structure and medical capability.
My eldest daughter who is a practice nurse is very impressed at the treatment you received, it is amazing that two medical professionals where even in the building with the capabilities of examining and diagnosing such a condition. Just make sure that your GP is also aware of your appointment tomorrow, they don't like being kept out of the loop.
Good Luck xx
Jenna - I hope you won't be offended, but I am sending up a little prayer that it will all work out ok for you.
Jenna, I hope everything is OK. I am thinking about you. Liz xx

Thank you all :) I've got my appointment at 11.15am at a local GP's to get the referral on for further investigation as I don't currently have a GP and the walk in centre can't refer direct to the hospital.

The staff at the walk in centre were absolutely fantastic and spent about an hour on the phoe to get an assurance I could be seen today to get the relevant referral. i'm going to send them a thank you card they were so wonderful.

Will let you know how I get on xxx
Lots of love from me, Jenna, sweetie! x x x

I'm on MSN if you need me...
Good luck honey x x Think positive and accept all the love you get on here ....

Sending a big hug out to you, Jenna!

Thank you :)

Just got back home. They've referred me by fax to a specialist clinic where i should get an appointment within a couple of weeks so just need to wait on that now.

Have got another lump elsewhere but that one i think is a cyst as it's painful and i've had them there before, probably brought on by stress/worry :)

Just heard I've got an interview on Monday for a permanent position with a really good firm so that's cheered me up a bit :)
