My daughter has just arrived with a Simnel cake for her first Sunday off in 15 years. After we have washed the pigs we're going for a walk by the river and then coming home to share a trotter and some hard bread.

I have no children but I am happy to tell you that my dog bought me some daffodils today as a Mothers Day present. I had to go and buy them myself but I took the cost from her weekly bone money.

i found 2 cards on the mantle piece this morning which weren't there at 1am , the boys both went out last nite and hence are still unconcious, my daughter went out round Preston for St Patricks day, (she was born in Bilinge Hospital and so not quite Irish). No doubt she is unconcious somewhere too lol Hopefully this sunday meal they have all arranged will come together at some point, never mind, it is fairly quiet and i am enjoying a huge breakfast !

my kids bought me a 99p gift from town, made of chocolate and I am so grateful - even though II loathe the stuff .
It was the smile on their faces and the hugs and kisses that made it - it's all I ever need from them , lol
