Just after a bit advice please, I know it may sound like a daft question but how would i know if i had cystitis or a water or kidney infection?? On sat and sunday i couldnt go to the toilet properly due to a really bad burning pain when trying to wee, yesterday i got some sachets to drink from boots for cystitis. I can now go to the toilet ok without pain, but i still have a pain which feels like its next to/ in my kidneys.

any advice would be much appreciated.

Well you will still get a pain with cystitus and if its clearing up then that pain should be gone soon.

drink lots of fluid, cranberry juice if you can and go to toilet whenever you need to, dont hold it in. Barley water helps too.

You should phone the NHS helpline just to be on the safe side. It was most likely cystitis as you said there is no pain now in passing urine but still having pain in the kidneys should always be checked out.

thanks to everyone who answeared my question, I have an appointment with the doctor on thurs (earliest i could get in) just incase the pain dosent go. thanks everyone x
