I am a PA to the Director of the company I work for.
I only started in March so I havent been here long.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, I was just covering the receptionists lunch break and a girl came out of the interview and we got chatting and then she told me she had just been interviewed for the PA's job.......
Sh1t!!!!
What should I do? Should I approach my boss or not?

If you dont know why your boss was interviewing this person, then you have to ask yourself why that might be.
In any event, you have two forms of employment rights, ones determined by legislation and the other afforded to you by your contract of employment with your employer. If you are seriously concerned about your position I would read up on both.

Ok, so why would another Director interview a PA for another Director? Summink dont stack up. If I was employing a new PA, I think I would be in on the interview, wouldnt you? Either the interviewee was incorrect or both the Qer and her Director are getting the jolly old heave-ho. Real horror-show.
Firstly, thanks for all your advice.
I asked him out right, I didnt ask if I was being replaced I just asked him what role she was applying for. I figured honesty was the best policy.
She is being taken on as the other Directors PA and they used my job spec as an example of what she could expect to do.
He said I have done so well, its been proven thats is worth while to employ more PAs!
Yay!
