I've just finished a decorating job for a very wealthy Barrister. I helped him out with colour scheming, ordering & collecting materials etc. I even took him down to the garage to pick his car up. At the end of the job he paid promptly, & he gave me an envelope & said. "Have a drink on me". When I opened it later it contained 2-00 !! How much do you lot tip? If at all.
Prove that you were angry at not being tipped shows in your star rating for fellow AB's.
You gave one AB 3 stars because i believe they mentioned the word ''amount'' in there posting.
Octavius. I too have integrity. I don,t save my customers millions, but I give them a very good job at a reasonable price. I'm also very honest & trustworthy, as several of them go on holiday & leave me in charge of the house whilst they are away, to get-on with the decorating.
then why are you bothered about a tip. and laurence is right on star front, you have given them to people that agree with you. You asked how much we tip I answered in first post, wasnt I worthy of stars?
You mean apart from the lady who went off to Spain!
Honest & trustworthy? From your own perspective maybe, but to me you certainly dont come across that way. I have seen you in a new light carrust, and that light is coming from a very dim birthday candle.
You seem to see yourself as a modern day Robin Hood. I bet even he didnt expect tips.
4get. I'm not worried. Btw, i've just had an e-mail, the barrister wants me to quote for the rest of the house...how much do I overcharge him in % age terms:)))))
i'm worried now cuz i once gave my haridresser a 3 tip (it was the change from cash) I would never have meant it to me insulting but i was a student at the time and the haircut only cost 17!! I think any tip nice - i worked as a waitress - som epeople left 80p but it was still better than getting nothing at all!
However people who appeared to more wealthy always left less tip - i once had an elderly couple push 15 in to my hand and told me i had made their evening lovely as i was smiley and polite! I felt awful and they wrefused point blank to take it back despite my efforts!! Tips are nice but i would never expect them and grateful for anything really - its better than taking 2 of you i guess!!!
(It did bug me however when i huge party came in, say of 20, and left a 5 to split between two - esp as a table of two would sometime leave a 10!!!!)
Carrust, I would quote your usual inflated rate and just do the job at hand and avoid the trappings of doing extras for this deviously fiendish barrister.
