I am massively patient.

I remember when I was about eight or nine, all I wanted was to get a fishing licence for the fishing club where my grannie lived, so i could join the men fishing (I know, but I was a little boy remember!)

One day, I was with her, and she was chatting for about half an hour to a friend, and as a child I was bored witless, shuffling from one foot to the other, as kids do.

When she finished, she told me that I would never be an angler because it needed patience, and i didn;t have it.

From that day on, I did, and as an adult, I have the patience of a Zen monk - which is highly useful working as a music journalist!
depends how long I've been waiting. :-) I'm quite pateint as I said yesterday I had a go at an old impatient git who couldnt wait for workmen to let him through. I can happily sit behind a tractor. I guess I'm only impatient with things that should take long. And I hate people who are late and dont ring to say they are running late.
I vowed as part of some other new years resolutions to be more patient.

I still hate wating for stuff sometimes though but...

Since then my road rage has not been as bad and sometimes I even join the longer queues in supermarkets just to test my patience.

Depends on situation.

I'll admit there was possibly slight irritation when the newbe bar maid last night if I'd like to make my red wine a double... But I was good and told her just to put it in a large glass. Well, sort of good, I still got told to 'behave' cause of my tone apparently.

Some things are worth waiting for. Then I'm patient. Or if nothing can be done. But poor service (newbe barmaid can't help being a newbe so doens't count) will bring out the bad tempered moo in me.
i'm only impatient when it comes to stupid people ding stupid things - or waiting in a que for ages when the staff are just chatting etc.... with kids etc i have patience of a saint!

In my job you have to be patient, polite, non-patronising, and avoid personal comments about the state of peoples feet, it needs an awful lot of patience and the ability to lie convincingly lol

Lol 4get , .Great answers thankyou :-)
I am usually a patient person , the only thing I really don't like is waiting for someone to turn up and they don't ring when you know they can.I am watching the window for the 9am arrival of workmen !!!my fingers are starting to inch toward the phone and my heart rate has increased talking about it . lol
It depends what it is for. In everyday circumstances (waiting for the bus, tube etc) I have been described as being so laid back that I am horizontal, but where there is an arranged appointment and the time is not kept by the person you are meeting (I am always punctual) then I get very aggravated. This goes for doctors, dentists, work meetings and social meet ups as well.

On another aspect, I am very impatient and often abandon my trolley in supermarkets if the queue is too long, or hang the clothes on the nearest rail in a clothes shop - although this has more to do with my contempt at the shop having 40 tills and only one open. My wife is amused that I can spend ages shopping and trying things on (clothes that is), only to walk away when I see the queue. This happens a lot in Bluewater and my local Sainsbury.

redcrx ...remind me to stay away from you for those 3 days eh :-) x
I do get impatient when I go in club toilets and cant get to a sink cox girlies are doing their make-up. Its a pitch black dance floor, no-one can see!!!!
I used to think I was a patient person until one day when my kids were about 2 and 3 and I was watching them playing on the computer (in pre broadband days) and the little one was sitting waiting for his game to load and was exclaiming "tum on, tum on! (come on come on) He has obviously picked it up from me. I also find myself fuming when, after organising myself and the kids and a rucksack to go out, the kids and I are sitting in the car when my other half, who only had himself to get ready, is still mucking about getting organised.

awww BOO , hope you didn't get too impatient waiting for your stars sweetie :-) x
i am very polite until rudeness overtakes the situation!!

i could wait to be served in a busy shop for hours but if the person is on a personal call or talking to friends, or just being rude then my anger towards them kicks in!!!
