Sorry to hear you've been suffering RQ. It may very well be plain old indigestion, but your GP will be able to diagnose & prescribe something suitable for you.
Just a bit of advice - years ago, after skipping meals all day at work, etc., I used to end up in agony with burning pains in the top of my stomach, which I thought might be indigestion & had to go to Stoke Mandeville for a barium meal.
This showed that I had a duodenal ulcer & was told not to drink coffee or eat spicy food, which I didn't anyway, also to start eating little & often. I was also given antibiotics & other medication which eased it - bliss!
I soon 'forgot' to eat at work & ended up with yet another ulcer. I had to start the treatment all over again, but have since tried to eat sensibly during the day & it has helped stave off any further problems - although I do get the odd bit of indigestion like most people.
I do hope you'll visit your GP & feel better soon too.
