It is the 22nd of August and I have been forced to put the central heating on.

I do not usually feel the cold and am fairly "green" regarding household energy.

Has anybody else been forced to put their heating on, and if so, is this the first time in living memory it has been on in the summer?

Don't be Nesh.
I know what that means! :0)
I have to admit, I have gone wimpish and turned on the gas fire, to snuggle up with a guitar, a bud, and hopes of Kirsty Wark.
Oh and in answer to your question.

As well as screwing up my kitchen the builders have bu88ered up my pipes too so no heating for me! I tried to put it on last night without any joy.

Slightly too much information there, thank you.
Im on the South Coast and its chuffing cold down here, Ive had my polo neck pullie & jeans on all day.

I have also dug out my china hot water bottle ( not one of those naff rubber jobs) to have in bed with my cocoa tonight.
Yes I put my heating on on Monday. It is not warm down south at the moment and I don't generally feel the cold too badly.
Ahem... That's not quite what I meant.... Whoops.

Shadow Man I want to but Mr Beads (nee Nuoyg) says no! When he's out I'll have a sneaky burst of that beautiful gas central heating.

Ahhh, here come the ridiculous energy bills...

It wasn't that funny!!

Between that and Grom's definition of mardybum I'm starting to think there's a conspiracy around here!
