hello nannon, sorry to hear about your granddad
my granddad died 3 years ago, quite suddenly. a huge shock as it was unexpected, albeit he was 87.
when he passed we were all in stunned as it was the first death in the family.
you will be going thru a rollercoster of emotions. just take it one day at a time.

Sorry to hear of your loss, It is a very confusing time when you lose a loved one, nobody can tell you how you should be feeling, maybe you should go and see him in the chapel of rest so you can say goodbye and anything else you wish to say in private.

I am sorry for your loss, but can I just say that if I had lost a member of my family hours ago, I would not be posting on a website so soon. Seems strange somehow and quite disrespectful.
Hello nannon, bless you. It is hard but as you grow older you realise its a way of life, doesnt stop the hurt though. I have lost my granddad and nan and even though I didnt say goodbye I always know the last time I spent with them was a good one and I always said to my nan Love you when I left hers, so I know those were my last words to her. Just think of all the good times you had together and that you had the chance to. xxxx
ab_user, dont you think what you just said was a tad disrespectful l!!

We all cope with these things differently!!
ab_user someotimes it helps to talk to someone that isnt family. Unless nannon is organising funeral etc not much else to do at this stage
I feel for nannon, I know the pain of losing someone. BUT if it were me who had lost someone, the answerbank would be the LAST thing on my mind!
fair enough but to some people it is a place to come and talk. I understand where you're coming from but I'm sure it didnt need to be said. xx
I know people deal with their grief in different ways but it seems really odd to me that someone would post on here when they only lost a loved one last night? It's a time for family surely?

well ab_user i am stuck in work and am finding it hard to concentrate and thought i'd come here and ask for some advice. idiot.

Thank you everyone else for the replies...
Why am I an idiot nannon? I feel for you as like I said I know the pain of losing someone, but I find it strange, that's all.

dont you wish i was with my family??! of course i do but everyone is north wales and not here - i cant get up there at the moment. I just broke up with my boyf so i cant talk to him and am feeling pretty alone so keep you stupid opinions to yourslef
Also, how can the advice of total strangers help? If it were me and I had lost someone, then these people advice and sympathy would mean jack. Only the real people can help you deal with this, friends, family etc.
You situation is sad, very sad. But don't kick off because I am not offering words of sympathy like the others, like I said, strangers kind words would mean nothing to me at a time like this.
LETTER FROM HEAVEN

To my dearest family, something id like to say
But first of all to, let you know that I arrived today
Im writing this from heaven
here there are no more tears of sadness Here is eternal love

That day I had to leave you, when my life on earth was through
God picked me up and hugged me and said i welcome you
Its good to have you back again
you were missed while you were gone
as for your dearest family
they will be here later on

When you lay in bed at night and the day chores put to flight
I am closest to you in the middle of the night
I wish that I could tell you all that is planned
but if I were to tell you , you would not understand

There are many rocky roads ahead for you and and many hills to climb
but together you can do it , take one day at a time
what you give to this world the world will give to you

If you can help some one who is sad and low
just lend a hand , as on your way you go
when its time for you to go from that body to be free
remember your not just going your coming back to me

what did i just say?I'M STUCK IN WORK cant just get on the phone to my friends and family.
wonder if anyone else has called you an insensitive **** before?
Hi nannon, sorry to hear about your loss.
There is no right or wrong way as to how you ashould be feeling, as others have said, we all handle our grief in diffrent ways.
I am not insensitive nannon, you would of course know that if you knew me, which you don't so that's neither hear nor there. If you are feeling distracted and low will your work not let you go home? I am sure they would understand.
