Not sure if this is the right section, but I asked a question earlier about Sky and mentioned that I hated having to phone them as it is such a wind-up, and it made me wonder who everyone else hates having to deal with on the phone. I nominate Sky, Talk Talk and Northern Rock!
When you get onto the automated voice bit, press 0 several times and then it should coinnect you straight through to an operator. If not try agaoin once more and if still no luck, the trick isn't going to work. Anyway, i've got some more stuff like seceret phone numbers for companys so you can get straight through. I can go and get them if you like.
Yes I know the 0 trick, but you still have to hold on for ages. Another awful one is Orange. How long do you hold on for before putting the phone down. You hold on so long and then think they must answer soon .....
I hate phoning Mobile Rainbow to try and get the cash back that's due to me for having a mobile contract with them. They are nothing but BUYING LASTARDS. They try anything to delay sending your money

this is a very abbreviated version. In the end I went into the branch and what should have been a 30 second phone call became a big deal
Thats exactly what I mean Diane, when you finally get through to a human being, you get asked so many security questions, or cant get to speak to the same person twice and therefore have to explain your complicated enquiry over again ....... aarrgghhhh You can feel your blood pressure going Sky high!

I agree Dianne, i'm with HSBC and although getting through to an operator is not a problem its exactly as you mentioned once your connected.
has anyone tried the bt broadband technical helpline, unbelievably bad, you cant understand them, they cant understand you, they phone you constantly, they phoned me when I was at the zoo with the kids, ignoring my "im not at home right now" they carried on regardlessly trying to get me to make changes to my settings!!
