early change
5 Answers
i recently posted a question ,out of desperation really, concerning my long term relationship with my partner debi of 13 years. i stated that she had suddenly wanted to change the way we lived our lives. i was looking for a medical reason but the only replies i got centred on my actions in the relationship, well i am happy to report that she eventually went to the doctors after she revealed she had been on her menstral cycle for five weeks solid.
it turns out she had the same coil fitted for the last ten years!! the doctor immediately removed this and did a blood test, and duely found a high hormone imbalance!!!

I dont know how old she is but I started the menopause at 38 (peri menopausal) It was like a bolt out the blue when like your partner I eventually got blood tests which confirmed it.I too just over a few weeks altered personality wise-really radically.(as many on various sites I have posted on will testify). Its horrible and frightening and its taken me a long time to get through it but once I knew i wasnt going really mad -that there was a reason-then I just got on with it.I am now through it -thank ****-and it really tested my relationship with my husband to the limits but hey we got there and so will you both now you have a label to hang it on.
Not everyone goes through a bad time BTW-so dont think anything I say relates to everyone -it doesnt.
If you or your partner want any off post info or chat then just email me at [email protected] -I would be more than happy to help x
