Is there any difference between the many protien powders advertised for muscle building.

For instance. Maximuscle and Holland and Barrett own brand.

No, I think it's all the same, derived from whey. Only difference is in price and the actual amount of protein per serving.
the best protein available is probably the cnp pro-peptide but expect to pay a fortune for it, its about 28 a tub and i use 2 tubs a week.

if you want a cheaper one then look for one that has timed release so that the protein is released into your system over 2 to 3 hrs.

you then need to consume a gram and a half for every pound of bodyweight to gain muscle

Thanks for those answers.

How and when should I take the protien powders.

Thanks Stuart
I tried the Weider International stuff, you mix it with milk, and it gave me 2 years of tummy troubles.
At least I think it was that.
