big belly

I have never ever ever ever had a flat stomach since I was a kid i have has this bump, I though my stomach would go flat once I became older and grew (like everyone elses) but it hasn't and I hate it, the worst thing is I'm 5ft 4 and I way 8 stone and that certainly isn't over weight. My stomach looks really odd when compared to the rest of my body and it gets really bloated after I've eaten so it sticks out even more, since around the age of 16 I've had people asking me if I was expecting. I've tried going on diets and exercising to no avail. Could this be some kind of illness?

She didn't know the two were related, but eventually it was discovered that she had a benign tumor, and it was growing (backwards) and pressing against her spine.
more likely though, is that your allergic or intolerant to somme food, especially as you mention that it gets worse after eating. From personal experience this pot belly thing happens to me when i drink milk (cows), and my girlfriend gets it very badly after eating wheat - she had also suffered from "big belly" all her life but had never considered the possibility of an allergy. Try cutting certain food stuffs (start with wheat / gluten), give it a month - see if your better and then try it with another one... good luck
I suffered with bloating and kept burping 2 years ago. lasted about 10 months.had tests done at the hospital and a camera put down my gullet but nothing was found except for a bit of inflamation. Tried all the over the counter remedies plus some prescription medecines. All no good. Then I discovered Milk Thistle Complex which is a herb extract. A couple of drops in a glass of water a couple of times a day and after a couple of weeks my bloating disapered. Now and again it returns so I just go back on the milk thistle for a couple of days to get rid of it.The brand I used was Bioforce but i guess other brands must be available.Use the liquid form, not the tablets.
I've never been to the Doctor about it because i though It was just puppy fat but at the age of 21 its getting a bit annoying! I do suffer from lower back pain but I thought that maybe from sitting on a dodgy chair whilst at work or uni, I did see my doctor about my back pains but i didn't mention my stomach. I am a bit scared now. I shall go and see my doc ASAP, thank you all.
