dilemma, where do i begin??

I dont know where to put this, help!
Basically its christmas and it has got me thinking.
Some of you may be aware that i have had a lot of health problems this year.
My father told me something quite profound a few years ago whilst we where having a very very heated argument, apparently i was a bad teen (uh i stayed at home never drank never smoked). I had a slight attitude but i think that was related to other issues.
He said that i all ways thought you were never my daughter.
i was very shocked and upset, and we have never spoken of it since, to much time and water has gone under the bridge.
Now i know who the other person is and know they have some medical issues in there family.
My question is this should i raise this point with my father or should i let sleeping dogs lie? This has been eating me up for years and with every that's happening at the moment i want some answers as to where this may b coming from.
I dont know what to do, please someone help!

Unless i ask the question i will never know whether or not the problems are hereditary.
But i dont want to jeopardize the relationship we have.
Im 23 so should have a good few years left with my dad. The next time we are due to meet is the end of january, however this is a clan gather as we are meeting my sister in law(my brothers fiance, they bicker like an old marriead couple so we call her sil) for the first time. I dont want to steel her light so to speak. but i would like answers.

your father opened up the skeletons so therefore you have every right to ask questions in a reasonable manner. You don't owe him any explanations and if I where you I would track down my real father and get dna then get to know the family if its an option and still keep the family /father that raised you. Assuming he was good to you and it was just a heated argument. You sound like you where a good teenager. If its true then you need to forgive him because he knew this and still provided for you and kept it in for so long which I bet was hard to do. Sit him down or better still take him to a public place for lunch and speak there. Be firm but adament with him.
