Please could anyone tell me if hypnotherapy is available on the national health, through a GP? My daughter is extremely phobic of everything to do with vomiting and it is ruining her life.

She is 17 years old. We do not have much money at our disposal to be paying for expensive therapists but I really need to get her some help.

Yesterday she witnessed a woman vomiting at the bus stop which she has to pass on her way to work. She was the most scared she has ever been and felt totally out of control. She is now panicking because she has to pass the same bus stop on her way to work tomorrow.

I feel so useless because I just don't know what I can do for her. She has had CBT but the therapist was useless and did not help at all.

My daughter is such a lovely girl with so much character and ambition...I just wish someone could help her so she could live her life without having to worry every day.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give us.

Yes you can get it on the nhs, have to be firm with doctor and may have to wait a while but I believe you can get it on the nhs.

Good luck!
I just recently forked out 160 for a 2hr nlp/hypno combined session and it really was a total waste of money.

I went to improve my confidence and it hasn't done anything for me at all although they do teach you how to self hypnotise and say you have to practise a lot which I haven't done but basically its just positive self talk and you don't need a hypnotherapist to tell you how to do that and charge you 160 for the privilege.
