Within reason the bigger the better, I'm basically greedy, I like women so why ask for a small portion. I wouldn't look at any woman under a size 16.

There's a big difference between going out with someone and "just looking". Comparing what you find attractive visually and who you actually "like" is akin to comparing a picasso painting with a portion of fish and chips.

Esther....I think you can tell when a woman is naturally thin and they look sexy. It's the women who try to be thin that don't.

the young, slim, pear shaped ideal is based in fact somewhere down the line, however, everybody has their own preferences based, partly at least, on their own experiences. So some guys like skinny women with little boobs, others prefer slightly curvier and some like very large women - and every other variance in weight, height, shape and hair colour possible.

working on the same basis, all women like tall dark and handsome men with broad shoulders - but you don't see many women walking around with those kind of guys - they are with "average looking men" - that doesn't mean they don't love who they are with.

i think some parts of the media promote the idea that you're only successful if you're young slim blond/have a young slim blond on your arm and that can creates huge pressure to look a certain way (for men and for women!)

But in the end, looks fade and personally i think that the greatest success you can have is to grow old with the person you love the very soul of - in which case you really don't mind what they look like.

I understand what you're saying Nummy, but I don't think you can liken men to women. In polls. men come out as having a big list of physical attributes in what they most seek in a woman. Women however, like nice smiles, sense of humour, kindness etc, as well as certain physical things. Women seem to subconsciously seek a man who will make a good father. Men seek a woman who will be physically young/able to bear the fruits of his loins! According to Darwin!

i'm aware of the theories, and on the same basis all men will be with as many women as possible to pass on their genes as many times as he can and all women want to stay with one man.

but society has moved on and freewill reigns - as you can see by the multitude of answers for this question - not all men like young, blond, size 8-10.
