Scarring

I have a deep cut on the back of my leg from a rose bush, it isn't infected but it looks like it may scar. is there anything I can put on it, so it doesn't scar so badly ?

Bio Oil is very good and gentle, but you have to use it for several months. I have a scar on my arm where I snagged it on a door at Christmas and apart from a bit which is causing me a problem, the rest of it is almost gone. It costs about £8 a pot but it lasts for absolutely ages.

Yes, any steroid cream e.g synalar, hydrocortisone or betnovate.
