A half inch piece of wood was left in my leg. I have had seaweed type dressings on it from the surgery for the last few weeks which drew it out (fortunately). I pulled it out in the end and as it emerged it looked like something gruesome out of Dr Who!! It just kept on coming. It was imbedded quite deeply. Antibiotics have taken care of any infection.

Ewwwwww...... However I'm glad you've sufficently recovered to share that delightful story ;oP

I'm still trying to think of jokes along the line of having wood stuck in you in the normal sympathetic tone that I adopt...
I always said your bark was worse than your bite.....

He he. I thought I would inform Sqad as he knew about it right at the beginning of the story. It involved gardening at 6.00am whilst still in me nightie!!

Shin, my dear, my shin!! You should remember these things. It has left a hole in my shin and a purple looking area of skin. Very attractive!!
lofty....I could have made something sexual around your "shin" trauma ;-)
pft, another crucifixion gone wrong; those Romans have got a lot to answer for.
Tisk you doubting Thomases, have none of you ladies ever put the washing out in your nighties? I do it all the time, bins too, leaves loads of opportunities for minor injuries...
Question Author
Actually jno, there was an old Roman settlement at the top of the hill behind our house. One day I am hoping to find something that will make me a fortune whilst I am out in the garden (in my nightie, of course!!)
Question Author
In this weather I find nighties to be the most comfortable thing to wear unless I have to leave the house. (We are not overlooked fortunately - it's just a problem when someone comes to the door - hence I don't welcome uninvited visitors!)
Lottie, a kaftan is a so-comfy compromise. I have several, disguise a multitude of sins (and you can get away with no underwear on warm days, but I didn't say that).
Question Author
At the moment Boxy I am wearing a cheesecloth sort of Kaftan with no sleeves (and no underwear). Nighty comes off and that goes on (It's such a drag having to put underwear on and changing if I have to go out - but today has been a lazy day).

By the way, my night attire ain't much different. I don't go in for sexy see-throughs, they don't go with my wellies!!

Hi Headwreck x
If I am feeling really louche, I sleep in the kaftan....

Ha, ha. Great isn't it. I hate constricting clothes at the best of times and I abhor footwear. In the winter I love spending the day in cosy PJ's!!
There's too much lewdness on CB...............I may have to report myself.
