found tablets dumped!

Mum found some tablets dumped, without the box. We looked them up in the pill dictionary and one lots was for people with cystic fibrosis and the others were for general illnesses, what should we do?

take them to a pharmacy for them to dispose of them.

I hate it when people dump medication, little kids could have found them.

You could also mention to the police that you found these pills (make sure you write down the exact names of them), they may have been stolen from someone and then dumped when found to be useless for getting high on.

Thats what we thought sara. It could have been a burglary and when they realised the tablets werent worth anything they dumped them.

eeerrrr one ended in cillin but the book said they were both for stuff like throat and chest infections.

Excuse spelling mistakes I haven't got them infront of me, I don't know which was which, but one lot was ciprofloxicin . . . another, flucoxicillin and the third was pulmozyme.

Yep, take them to a pharmacist. You're not even supposed to put unused meds in your bins at home, let alone dump them somewhere public. Shame there's no name of the patient on the box, they could be traced. Your pharmacist can arrange for safe disposal. Amoxycillin?

I would have taken them to a pharmacist rather than bring them home and look them up. I would be concerned for the person they were prescribed for in case they were thrown/lost in error.

it doesnt matter what they are called, any decent person would take them to a chemist.

it does not matter what the "drama" may be around the tablets, its a no brainer, you find medication dumped- you take it to a chemists/pharmacy - end of drama.
