Weight Gain

Hi Out there...feeling a bit down. Today was my weekly weigh in and have again put on 1 lb. making it a total of 6 pounds in a couple of months. I have doing Rosemary Connely since last Sept and managed to loose 10 kilos.
My doctor had given me pills to help keep my hunger down ( I didn't think they did) but now they have been taken off the market. (can't remember their name)
I am eating the same and exercising every day (am 70 yrs old) so I just wanted some support really. I shall keep on of course but it is so annoying to see numbers going the wrong way.

I am not tech minded but when it freezes I leave it because if you click again it takes longer. Mine has had a lot of use over the 5 years I have had it .enjoy your wedding just be careful the week after.
Slinkkate that is a vivious circle you are doing.Just because you don't eat on weigh day don't say that is going to work . It is what you have done through the week that counts and sometimes it don't show till the following week if you have over indulged.I have not lost week this as I have been out twice but I will be good now till next wed and I am sure I will lose.
I think the best thing is to find a weight loss regime that suits you and get the books that go with it and stick to it like glue. Although at the moment I am standing still I know my weight will go down again at some point because I am doing the right things. I think focusing on what you can eat is also much better for your positive thinking than focusing on what you have to give up. I think just being on this thread is a big step for many.
Hello to everybody. Good to hear the success stories from you all - even staying the same counts as a success because it means you haven't gained anything!
I'm pleased - and astounded - to report a loss of 3kg ( about 6lbs, I think ) this week. Very chuffed with myself because I really have tried hard. I know that won't happen every week but it's an excellent kickstart and shows I can do it if I really try.
My target now is to lose another 4kg by the end of September.

Feel very good about it xstitcher. Like I said, I really don't expect that to happen every week and I won't be trying to set unrealistic goals.
The big difference is giving up my mini binges. I could easily eat a couple of bags of crisps, a chocolate bar and whatever else I could find in a short space of time then go on and have my dinner as normal. At the moment I just don't have the urge to do that and I'm hoping the longer I can go without it the easier it will be to break the habit and follow sensible healthy eating plans.
I agree with focussing on what you can eat. I try and think of it in terms of ' well, I can have one chocolate bar which'll be gone in 30 seconds or I can have a packet of Snack - a jacks, a piece of fruit and a couple of my mini crispbreads with some ham' Second option probably has lesss calories than the chocolate and takes longer to eat so feels more satisfying.
