Poor Mr CRX had a medical yesterdy and whilst there he asked about getting the snip. We have 2 children aged 2 and 5 and me and Mr CRX arent exactly young.

anyway the GP suggested to mr CRX that he wait.

His words - the snip is irreversible (or at least meant to be) that means no more children, what if your entire family were wiped out, they would be little or no chance of ever having more children and at 42 you are still young enough to have more.

what a cheery thought eh?

My oh was 29 when he had the snip, the doctor didn't query our ages at all. Mind you, we did have 4 children between us by then.
Make a deposit at the sperm bank then have the snip. Sorted.
So what are the doctors saying not to have the snip ?

If your children are all wiped out, you can just replace them ?

Like losing your mobile phone ?

Surely children are not a replaceable commodity.
Lol! Theoretically it's cheaper in the long run to have the snip
If you want to save the NHS money, I have two housebricks to hand for Mr CRX....

exactly, jogger.
but wonder what we are meant to wait for? to see if we are all wiped out? to see if Mr CRX runs off with someone else and wants more kids? for the lottery win so we can have more? or to have a load more children just in case we mislay some along the way?
Recrx.

I can´t understand the attitude of your GP

This is exactly what the Americans are worried about with Obama´s Medicare.

ah Mrs O, i recall suggesting similar just after giving birth :)
I asked to get sterilized when I was 28 after 3 kids. The doctor refused.

1) I was too young

2) What if you lost all your children in an accident.

3) What if your relationship doesn't last and you meet a childless man.

The nurse advised me to see one of the other doctors who wouldn't ask so many questions but he gave me too much food for thought. So I didn't pursue it...

No 3 came true...
Brainwave!

I suggest he has the snip, then if you want more kids, you can adopt my eldest!
