If a stranger came up to you and asked you if you were a "Pisces" or other starsign, what would you think? Let's say they came up to you as a customer and asked. Would you think they were being inappropriate? Would you be flattered? Would you answer truthfully? Would you think they genuinely wanted to know YOUR star sign, and were actually interested in you?

'they' being the first belonging and ';customer' belonging to it
you the customer....you 'are' the customer......
no, 'they came up to you as a customer', means they were the customer, if they were working in a store and you were the customer it should be,' they the customer came up to you'
no, hang on, lol
it should have been, 'they came up to you, the customer'
She just wrote it wrong Dot...
I knew what she meant ...I must be good at deciphering bad grammar... ;-))
Come on Scarlett, what did you mean? Are you the customer, or is someone else the customer. Put us out of our misery!
lol ;o)
people may be overlooking Scarlett's use of the word "if".

They are also not bothering to answer the question.
I was trying to establish whether the person asking was a customer and where this question was asked, there is not enough info to answer the question, the 'customer' could have been shopping for a horoscope book.
whoever it was, I'd tell them to go whistle. When I was born is not relevant to my job.

Okay let me explain. I have a friend who is into astrology, and wants to find out if he can guess starsigns by people's appearance. Hence, wanting to go up to strangers and ask them. I said it would be weird and women might think he was coming on to them if he just went up and asked. He said he would do it anyway. I just wondered what you thought!

What I meant by customer was: if you were at work and a custimer asked you your starsign, would you think it was weird. I had a lot of weird men asking me stuff when I worked on the till at Asda years ago- and my friend was planning on asking check-out staff and barmaids!
Scarlett - just tell your friend to be careful when asking if they are a 'Virgo' he could get a black eye.....(:0 (
reading the responses on this thread has given a very amusing "Sharon and Tracy"moment!!!

Keep up the good work and a Happy New Year to you all.
