diagnosed dvt given fragmin fao squad

hi you gave me advice a while ago on how serious you thought my dvt was.i went to hospital and they diagnosed it as dvt so they have given me a course of fragmin which ive been doing everyday for last 4 months but the last few nights ive had real trouble sleeping due to sharp apins in chest twinging in leg cold feet and waking in morning feeling really groggy and not feeling at all well tho today it has seemed to have laxed abit do you think this is anything to worry about thanks ever so much

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.the thing is ive been getting the chest pain for 3 years on and off as long as ive had the dvt and the hospital did tests when i got given the fragmin like ultrasound chest xrays etc they said it was just two clots stuck on the wall of my vein.and as long as i take the fragmin they said theres no risk of emboluos
4 months after a DVT cannot produce a pulmonary embolism, so your chest pain cannot be due to that. Another DVT and a pulmonary embolism is not a starter as you are on Fragmin and your leg is not swollen.
The chest pains do not seem to be significant and almost certainly muscular in origin.
The feet being cold is against a DVT.
No I dont think that there is anything sinister in your symptoms ayresy, but monitor the situation and keep us informed.

Wouldn't feet being cold be due to the blood thinning drug. Mr LL's feet are continuously cold these days. Are you taking any Statins ayresy. they can give you muscular pains and twinges. I am not medically trained, but have become aware of such things because of Mr LL's heart attack and subsequent medication.
My husband had a DVT in his leg recenty after surgery .He was given the same advice as Jans husband .
Try not to worry .My husband was put on warfarin and anti coag injections .He's fine now.
It is worrying .I know how you feel . You could just be anxious about all this .Keep your feet warm .Bedsocks !
