Delaying periods?

Hi im new here,

I am hoping any girls can help, I am going on holiday in a few weeks and well worried I may get my period whilst I'm out there is there anything I can take?

I found a medicine called Norethisterone acetate ive looked it up it mentions acting as a contraceptive and menstrual cycle issues..has anyone taken this if so how? and did it work....

oh and I need this because im going on a active holiday rock climbing i dont wanna be holding my abdomen 3000ft above sea level

Hi, are you on the pill? If so, take it right through, don't have your seven day break and your period won't come. If you are not on the pill, then no, there is nothing which can stop your period - unless of course, pregnancy...

I'm not on the pill it makes me really really unwell and evil I almost punched my bf out last time I was on it and all he asked me was "how was your day?"

so amber and redhelen do you both have experiance on Norethisterone acetate??/
or just the pill....

I agree about taking the pill through your holiday. I did it myself years ago when I was due to go away.

Hi, I do not have any experience with Norethisterone acetate, but I would be cautious - if the pill doesn't agree with you, then this probably wouldn't either, but of course, I am no expert.

I cant take the pill it makes me too unwell..

I cant do the pill its very bad for my emotions i cry and then slap Mr when he gets home. and he hasnt a clue whats happened and why im changeable after 3mins.

Norethisterone isnt a contraceptive pill, but will delay your period. Don´t forget to use other methods of contraception whilst on holiday.

Go to the doctor's he will give you something to delay your period, however, it will be heavier when it does arrive!
