I met a guy on the internet. We have been mailing since June. He lives quite a long distance away (5 hours by train less by car) but he is what I'm looking for. We met up 6 weeks ago and had an amazing date - 7 hours talking non stop but was during the day - no kiss at the end but he invited me up to see him - although that didn't work out. He is now without internet access and am only getting about one text a week from him! At one point was going to call it off because of this - but there is no one else on the horizon. I had a big party on Saturday which he travelled down for - got very drunk, met all my friends but still no kiss. We slept in the same bed nothing happened. Next day saying goodbye he said come and visit me and left. I'm quite confused - I like him but thinking this is too much effort - and not sure if he likes me as he had good opportunity to make a move... Four months and we still aren't at first base - Rah!

Well I would assume that he would search for gay guys rather than girls - as it was a dating website. And I doubt he would travel 10 hours over a weekend to see a girl if he really wanted a guy. Maybe he is crap at making moves thus is on a dating website - or maybe he changed his mind - but why invite me up to see him again? CONFUSED!

Well believe me I was just going to grab him at one point as we ended up in a club - but I guess I didn't know what reaction I would get. He is very laidback and I think he was a little embarrased that he had been so drunk the next day - I'm sure he was feeling a little ropey too... I think I held his hand at one point - oooh. And we did some close funky dancing but that was where the chemistry ended - I guess I just have to wait another week for a text from him... or never hear from him again... I have been advised to wait for his text as I normally initiate things... (although he is the one that travelled both times we have met).

What you have to remember is that some of us men are totally stupid when it comes to reading signals from women. You may think you are being quite open about how you fancy someone but the man involved can be totally oblivious. Having said that I am a bit wary re the bed part unless he was very drunk. Although he did travel a long way to go to your party. If you are only getting one text a week from him have you tried texting him daily? If no response other than once a week move on. Knowing your ages would have helped give more age related advice

I am 29 and he is 31. He has just started teaching so he is crazy busy which is why I haven't pushed the text thing - but its 6 weeks since he started and I guess I have needs too. To add injury to insult 5 other people hooked up at my party - the hostess... did not... Its been far too long since i have had a kiss!!!
