sure enough, the use of the word ‘patched’ is right, more like papered over the cracks. a few months down the line doubt and insecurity slips in and the party who was cheated on gets the wandering eye, whilst the one who had the affair becomes an emotional and controlling insecurity wreck and it all falls apart again.
infedility, wonderful isnit. 3 isolated cases (they don’t know each other) aint a coincidence is it ?

Andocles.....you are spot on.
Theer have been many such posts, all saying the same thing, but only when the husband is innocent is it referred to as a wind up. In the many "wife sinned against" posts that I have seen, I have never seen the phrase "windup"
Maybe due to the length of the previous thread, the length of the post is twice that of this post....wife gets more sympathy than the sinned against husband.
AB is female dominate and female biased.

'...but you can fool yourself into thinking you are happy in a situation when you are just used to it...'
^^^ That's true. But I also think it's your own problem. If you're questioning whether you're happy then you're probably not and you make either a balanced decision based on pros and cons or you do something about it. It's different for extreme circumstances (abused partners for example as there's a different psychological componant going on there) but the situation Sqad describes isn't extreme.
Sqad - 'China,' 'CD' or 'Your Majesty' are acceptable... CH leaves something to be desired I'm afraid.

Sqad - Not everyone feels the need to alieviate said 'boredom' by seeking out pastures new. All long term relationships morph into something else over time. If your perception that the wealth of shared experience, familiarity and closeness developed over years of mutual endeavour is 'boring', then, it may well be that you need to look at your own psyche...........?
If you're neutral then you're not happy... You're neutral... Not feeling anything. That's not a nice place to be. And needs something done about it otherwise you'll go through life like a zombie. Again, the situation Sqad outlines seems to suit all parties. It doesn't suit me, I wouldn't like it... Others might. It's up to them.
