Age Gaps

OK - what is an acceptable age gap? I am 46 and being pursued by a guy of 26. Any thoughts?

I dont know really - we do get on well and chat so easily - and amazingly we like the same music. Maybe he just wants naughties (!) but I know he enjoys my company. Am I being a foolish woman?

It can present a few problems with maturity, whilst both are mature at these ages you will find both have different views. You will find that you both have different values as well. if you are the jealous sort? will you struggle when you see him looking at women of his own age?



At the end of the day, why the hell not, if you can both deal with the age gap and no conflict because of it, go for it.

well im only 14 so i havnt had a proper relationship, but if what you and the 26 year old guy has is speacial, and that it would last, then theres no problem. age is just a number when it comes to true love.

Thank you all - think I will keep him as a friend for now and see what happens. I know it wont be long term as he will want children and I have been there and dont that!

So annoying that I click so well with him - wish he was older or I was younger!

are you worried about other people's perception? often this is jealousy!

I guess I do worry what other people may think but who are they to judge. He mentioned me to his mum and she was ok that he was chatting to me. I have to say when we talk and spend time together I dont feel any older than him at all. I keep fit and dont look my age. Most people think i am late 30's and he looks about 30 I think - am laughing here sooooo sounds like I am justifying it lol!!
