hello there,just popped in to say hi' i got weighed at ww last night and only lost 1lb,so i am having chicken salad tonight
Hi Divegirl no I don't do that but everyone is different. I eat healthily cut out as much fat as I can have lots of fish and chicken meals and veg.I write down everything I eat each day and I make sure that when I go shopping I buy enough for meals for the week. I also drink unsweetened grapefruit juice each morning but people on some medication can't have this as that helps to break up fat in your body. I do have the odd treats and I have strayed but not gained apart from 3 lbs at xmas but I lost 2 stone from when we started this last June till Xmas.
Hi Slinky kate a pound lost is a pound in the right direction . Keep going Onwards And Downwards.
Weighed in this morning....but of a problem as I have changed from the scales at my doctors to the ones at the swimming pool....but it looks good.
On Monday at the docs I was 101kg and today at the pool I was 97.8kg , so that's 15st 5lb in old money and a loss of 6lb or there abouts, I don't think I lost that much this week and am putting some of it down to the scale change.....but it's in the right direction :0)

Hi dive girl well done certainly in the right direction but it would be best if you weighed with the same scales each time then you will know yourself it is accurate .
Diet... Easter day.. chocolate rabbit..... ;-(

Hi Wendilla...I will be, I just needed to do the initial change over to more accessible scales, I will weighing myself at the poll from now on.

Eggs are free on slimmingworld.... unfortunately not 6 galaxy caramel eggs, two cadbury cream eggs, two lindt praline eggs and a generous share of friends Thorntons white chocolate egg so not expecting a loss or maintain tonight...oh well back to filling in food diaries I suppose best way to keep focussed
The secret to losing weight is quite simple, cut out the fat, sugar and cut down on the carbs. Follow those three simple rules and you will loose weight, even without exercising.
Oh dear rowan you naughty naughty . I have had easter eggs in my cupboard for a few weeks for grandkids and yesterday there was still 2 as won't see eldest one till weekend but I will have to scoot and get another as I don't know what came over me as I ate one last night the one with 2 creme eggs inside.. Just could not stop myself and yet they had been there for about 3 weeks and I never touched them .Yes David you are right but easier said than done sometimes. I have lost 2 stone in 5 months and trying to get the other off but I won't give up.
Hi RW, just remeber we all need a treat at times! I managed to be pretty good Easter weekend but did succumb to a small chocolate brownie last night!!!!
Hopefully my new toy will arrive today...I treated myself to a Wii Fit, so I can work it off gain lol

Morning all, I haven't eaten any chocolates this Easter, in fact I haven't eaten any since I started my diet back in Jan. The only choccy thing I allow myself is a Shape choc Delight in the evenings as a snack.

I have cut out a lot of fat and carbs David and yes it is working, together with the exersize.
Ive been away in London all weekend, done lots of walking, not a sniff of a cake, choc or biscuits, eaten sensibly and thought I would have lost something, but my scales this morning showed a 1 lb gain. Whats happened.? In really hope I can lose it my Wed night at weigh in
Yes divegirl I know it's obvious but the principle is so simple, why do people make it so complicated?
because people eat for all sorts of reasons, and the body has a lot of different regulatory mechanisms so everyone has different reactions around food and eating. food for some is fuel, for others it has a huge emotional aspect, others may have to take medication that affects appetite, so yes in theory its straightforward...in practice there are so many variables.
Morning all, I have lost 1lb this week. I was hoping I'd lost a bit more but heyho. I have lost and inch and 3/4 though which is good. Hope everyone has a good weigh-in this week :o) x
Not a good week for me - I have gained...........but then I have been away since Thursday and I wasn't being particularly good either. Not bad on the easter egg front - I had about 6 mini creme eggs but my down fall is icecream and I had some every day :-((. We did a lot of walking though - still gained though, so will have to be extra good this week. I didn't get home in time to go to SW this week so not an offical weighin. Well done to those of you that managed to lose or maintain over the Easter hols.
