Looking for an easy diet plan for meals using everyday food

I am looking for an easy to follow diet plan to lose some weight, with easy plans for meals and snacks, not one that I have to buy special foods and ingredients. Does anyone have one or know where I can find one online?

You don't have to buy any special foods or ingredients - just stop eating carbohydrates (bread, pasta, potatoes, sugar etc). Instead eat all the meat, chicken, fish, eggs etc that you want together with lots of green vegetables and enough good fat (olive oil, butter, cheese etc). Your body will cease to burn and store carbs as fat and instead will burn your excess fat and the fat you eat, allowing you to lose weight. I lost 50lbs eating like this and have stuck to it for years to maintain that loss and for the improvements in my health. You can find lots of recipes and snack ideas online, just put low carb recipes into Google. Good luck with the diet!

The diet plan grasscarp pointed you to is a simple calorie reduction one. This kind of diet requires you to feel hungry most of the time and is very hard to stick to. I know because I tried all kinds of diets over the years and none of them worked in the long term except low carb/high fat. The diet I suggest will not leave you feeling hungry all the time (or tired) so you will be able to stick to it. Besides, calorie reduction only works while you're on it - you will almost certainly regain the weight as soon as you stop the diet, which makes it pointless. Low carb/high fat is a healthy long term diet which can be adjusted to fit your life and, once you've lost the weight you want to lose, you can reintroduce limited carbs that you like. Sorry to argue again, Mrs Overall, but no one choses to be fat - I certainly didn't - and I'm not greedy or lazy. I've been on every diet going over the years including eating less and exercising more and they simply don't work, not for me and not for friends with similar weight problems. No one can starve themselves forever and more exercise just makes you more hungry. The fact is, we get fat because our metabolism reacts wrongly to the carbohydrates we eat. There is lots of science which proves this to be the case - put the names of Gary Taubes, Dr Mary Vernon or Professor David Diamond (to name just a few) into Google if you want to learn more about the subject. Certainly, don't suggest on a weight loss forum that it's as simple as "eat less and exercise more"!
Me again, Mrs Overall -I didn't mean to imply that you didn't understand what it's like to worry about your weight. Sorry, if I did. Funnily enough, I can totally understand your problem as I'm married to a man who, like you, struggles to maintain his weight. He is 6' and weights only 140lb (10 stone)! It used to drive me crazy that we ate the same diet (me eating a lot LESS than him) and he would never gain while, over the years, I did. Once I learned the science behind low carb/high fat, I understood that this was due to him having a different metabolism - not my fault (or his).

Personally I don't think I eat large portions but when I eat with friends or family I am usually surprised at the small amount of food that is served.
Hearing someone say I had a boiled egg for breakfast, I mean it's not worth getting a pan out for 1 egg!
Pork chops, always have 2 etc so I am wondering if I cut down on the portions as Mrs O has said, I might loose weight but I think I would feel hungry all the time.

My husband and I have used the Diet Solution Program with much success. It is very simple, easy to follow and you don't need to count calories. You don't feel as if you are on a diet and the meals and snacks consist of foods that you likely have in your home already. You will personalize your meal plan based on your metabolic type.
