Have to say a special THANK YOU to xsticher for those yummy recipes last month and thanks to maggiebee for the humorous poem.

March is a tough month, it can be easy to be good in January and February after the excesses of Christmas but keeping going can be tough.

Do you have any particular motivation tips we can share?

Here is last months thread

I keep thinking about the Ed's question of motivation. One good motivator that I think is VERY important is all of you. Your support and finger pointing when needed is very helpful for keeping on track. Thanks to the faithful few and onwards and downwards...it seems we have all been very good this week, so let's keep up the good work.

Well done Lilymoon you must have done something right. I find I don't get so much exercise since I lost my Lab. Cars are to blame now. I don't eat anything after 7pm unless I can't say no but while it is not school holiday time I dont have anything in cupboard to tempt me as my grandson is only usually here most days in holidays. If I don't buy it I can't eat it but it is not easy with parents with children still at home.I always have a good breakfast. I swear my a glass of unsweetened grapefruit juice every morning as this helps to break the fat down but some people on certain medication can't drink it . Don't forget write everything down as this helps for your weekly shop so that you don't run short of things that may lead you to eat the wrong things like picking phone up and ordering takeaways
I tried the grapefruit juice in the morning thing and it seemed to work. At least for a while. Although it may have been an illusion. For me it seemed to stop having an affect after a few weeks though. I haven't retried it for months now. Next to zero energy squash tends to be the cold drink of choice now. Although I really must check the 'use by' dates of all those juice cartons in the cupboard.
Glad I can join all you losers this week with a 2lb loss which means I have got to my 4st 7lb loss. Next target is 5st! Still a way to go yet.
well done to Lilymoon and Jan. Hope I can join in your triumph tonight. Good luck everyone XXX everything crossed
Thanks TOH. Good luck tonight. x
Jan, your loss is awesome. How long has this taken you? Have you done it on your own?
Thanks xstitcher. Been doing it from my old Slimming World books from when I went about 10 years ago and then bought some up to date ones on ebay. Started the beginning of September so been 26 weeks now. Had my weight double checked at the hospital so I know my scales are right. A long way to go still as I want to lose another 6 stone.
Well done Jan you have really done well .Look at it this way you are nearly halfway. Good Luck to you for next week.
Well you certainly are doing it the right way Jan. I am really impressed. I am going to look at those Slimming World books on eBay now.
I think I can safely come of the naughty step this week. 1 and half pounds down. Really pleased and going to as well or better next week I hope. Even my scales at home show a pound loss since yesterday morning but I know that can fluctuate

Keep going onward and downward everyone x
Well done all of us.....I think the naughty step is empty again this week.
Yay ! Well that deserves a bottle of champange and a slap up meal to ceebrate.
I stayed the same again! - but in my defence, we are having a new kitchen fitted, so have been living on microwave meals, I have got no sink so can't wash salad etc. Things might get worse before they get better as these meals are getting boring, I may need to resort to takeaways!
Thanks wendilla and xstitcher and well done TOH, hope we can all keep it up next week. Don't mind the champagne (in moderation of course) OG but I'll pass on the slap up meal. Don't want to undo all my hard work.
............and a big piece of chocolate cake with whipped cream OG .................
Jan, can you tell me anything about the SW starter packs. If they are good I might bid on one on Sunday.
They are very good xstitcher. You get several different books, one which explains the diet and gives you syn values of lots of different food. Another which gives you menues, another about exercising, and you also get food diary sheets so you can keep a note of everything you eat. I have found them very helpful. Just got mine out to read through again as they give me new ideas to try different foods every time I read them.
Thanks Jan. From what you have said I'll bid on them tomorrow evening.
Want to join you lot. I need to lose about two stone and have definitely started from today. It just seems to have crept up on me but I am sure it won't creep away so easily.
Hi all, I'm new to your group too, having just agreed with Spotit3 to lay off the bad stuff if she does!

So out goes the cakes, (cheese and ) biscuts and chocolate and in comes the fruit and yoghurt.
